When I was a kid I used to wear the "husky" size clothing while all my cousins wore the small sizes. At 13, I decided I wanted to look like the guys in the muscle magazines and I was inspired to improve myself. I didn't want to be known as the "big kid" for all the wrong reasons. I made positive changes that led me all the way to the bodybuilding stage in 2009. I took 3rd place at that show and have since accomplished my goal of winning 1st place in my weight class.
I believe people should be active and fit to improve their overall sense of well-being. Not only does working out and staying active imporves your physique, it also greatly affects your mental state. Active, fit people live happier, healthier, longer lives.

I have two certifications from the National Personal Training Institute (NPTI). One for fitness training and the other for nutrition counseling. I am also certified in kick boxing through BFIT University. I specialize in drastic weight loss 100+ lbs as well as muscle building, strength training and endurance training.

I've been a fitness trainer since 2007. I graduated with two certifications from NPTI-- one for fitness training and the other for nutrition counseling. I specialize in weight loss, muscle building, flexibility training and nutrition.
I'm an avid runner and I weight train consistently. I like to incorporate most of the exercises that I do personally into my clients exercise routine in order to understand how to push them to their limits.
When I first began an exercise program it was very difficult being consistent and positive since I lacked muscle and strength. I found that my high school coach motivated me to push myself and set goals for myself I can achieve. Slowly but surely I started seeing the results of my hard work and the motivation that I received form my coach.
As a trainer, I enjoy providing the same motivation for my clients as my coach did for me."
From a very early age I've been into fitness sports and working out. It has since grown into a passion of mine to the point where it helps to define me as a person. Once I started accomplishing my fitness goals it bled over into other areas of my life and gave me the confidence to push myself to the limit.
But there has been a point in my life where I did lose focus and gained weight, 25 pounds to be exact. And of course with the weight gain followed other problems such as high blood pressure, depression and low self esteem. The last straw for me came when the doctor put me on blood pressure medication at the age of 24. There was no way I was going to let that happen, so over the next year I focused on getting myself back in shape. I worked briefly with a few trainers that weren’t in shape themselves and to me that wasn’t very motivating. It wasn’t until I met a few trainers that were true bodybuilders that I became inspired. I wanted to do whatever it took to get a good looking physique like they had. I took bootcamps, ran, dieted properly and lifted weights and within a year I had shed the fat and put on lean and toned muscle. The transformation was amazing and I learned a lot from trial and error in the process.
Since then I’ve kept taking my body to new levels. I am now an ACE certified personal trainer I competed in my first competition in the March 2011 Muscle Contest and placed 5th in my weight class. After that I placed 3rd and 2nd in the 2011 Venice Beach Muscle Beach Classic and July 4th shows. Now I’m shooting for a number one spot.
